Discover the story behind our journey to create comprehensive naval architecture calculation tools that comply with international rules and regulations.
Naval Architect | Kochi
I am a naval architect based in Kochi, India, with a deep specialization in structural engineering, deterministic and probabilistic damage stability, and precise hull and tank modeling. I have been developing Navculus since 2022 to bridge the gap between complex marine engineering calculations and accessible software.
At the initial stage of my career, I tried to build a new application for naval architecture calculations, but my lack of knowledge in coding made it extremely difficult. I realized that to build advanced tools—such as my automatic hull form modification software, Naucous Hull—I needed to deeply understand both domains.
After three years of continuous study in both naval architecture and programming, I successfully developed Navculus. My hands-on industry experience directly informs the practical nature of the modules available here. Whether I am conducting CFD analysis on 20-meter fast crew boats using ANSYS Fluent, or executing complex multi-vessel mooring analyses with Bentley MOSES, I understand the rigorous demands placed on marine engineers.
My work frequently extends beyond standard ship design, encompassing the structural design of modular retractable shelters and authoring comprehensive maritime cybersecurity manuals. Initially, I created a mobile calculation application, but I realized that naval architects primarily work on desktops where mobile apps aren't as accessible. This led me to develop web-based solutions, culminating in the creation of navculus.in—one of my long-held dreams.
Navculus provides various calculation modules that strictly comply with international rules and regulations, streamlining the preparation of statutory documents and making complex computations highly accessible to professionals in the field.
I hope everyone finds the interface intuitive and helpful for their work. Thank you for your support as I continue to improve and expand Navculus.
Please feel free to ask any questions or share your comments. Your feedback is valuable and will be incorporated into future updates when I have time. Thank you for supporting Navculus!
